Żyglicka and Partners Law Firm as a Republic of Law

We are pleased to announce that on 1 January 2020, the partners of Żyglicka and Partners Law Firm unanimously adopted a resolution on fundamental changes in the firm’s form of government. The most important change is that the Managing Partner, i.e. the actual Head of the Law Firm, is elected for a one-year term by all partners in a fully democratic election.

One can jokingly say that we have become a Republic. It is worth noting, however, that in adopting this solution, we have been built on the experience of American law firms, with which we jointly belong to the international ALLY LAW association. The purpose of the change best describes the scope of responsibilities of the Managing Partner, which includes, first of all, developing the Law Firm’s strategy and management of its growth with the use of the state-of-the-art technologies and organisational solutions used in the best domestic and foreign law firms.

The changes we have introduced are to benefit our customers;, after all, we are developing for them. On the other hand, we would like to create a professional and friendly workplace for all our lawyers. A place where every lawyer can wonderfully develop his or her professional expertise and join the group of Partners of the Law Firm, or even become a Managing Partner.

Mr. Jarosław Rudy was elected to be the first Managing Partner, and his entire professional career is connected with our Law Firm. Mr. Rudy is the founder and leader of the capital market law department and it is his vast business experience gained in this segment of legal services that has led his partners to unanimously entrust him with this honourable position.

Mr. Jarosław Rudy will be supported in the management of the Law Firm by all partners, in particular by the Director of the Law Firm, Mr. Janusz Zieliński, who is the only economist among the partners. Above all, however, he can count on the support of the long-standing Head and Founder of the Law Firm, Mrs. Izabella Żyglicka, who, as the majority partner, is the main author of changes in the Law Firm’s structure. Currently, the most important tasks of Mrs. Żyglicka as a Founding Partner will be shaping the image and market position of the Law Firm and providing legal services to our strategic clients.
