The 2019 Ally-Law EMEA Regional Meeting on Malta
The annual regional meeting of Ally-Law, the international association of law firms, which we are part of, took place on 14–16 November. We were represented by our partner Dariusz Hura, attorney-at-law.
This time, we were hosted in Malta, and the event was co-organised by WH Partners law firm.
The agenda included topics on legal and business trends as seen from the European perspective.
Malta is the global centre of digital economy, which has had an impact on the nature of the meeting. The latest technologies and regulations shaping the future of money, ethical and regulatory considerations of artificial intelligence were discussed.
The programme also included important issues for the whole of Europe – the regional and global impact of Brexit, problems in cannabis regulations, and evolving concepts of tax residence.
