SPRING MEETING 2016 – Krakow, Poland
On April 8th 2016, partner of our law office legal adviser Ewa Lejman and barrister trainee Aleksandra Pustiowska participated in a conference held by New York State Bar Association, which took place in Krakow. The meeting has covered a variety of topics, such as:
- Issues and Developments in International Arbitration,
- Cross-Border Contracts,
- Cross-Border Personal Data Transfer in light of the landmark judgment in the Schrems case,
- FATCA and the New Era of International Tax Compliance,
- Legal Issues Surrounding the Restitution of Property to the Victims of Communism.
The international tone of the meeting has led to a marvelous atmosphere not only for discussing different law cultures, but also for less formal talks, and a chance to develop new connections.
