OSG 2022 National Economic Summit in Lublin

Attorney at Law Izabella Żyglicka took part in the ‘Local Government’ panel as part of the All-Poland Economic Summit held in Lublin on 10 – 11 October 2022.

The debate dealt with the impact of recent major global events on companies’ contracting under previous economic conditions. The need for contracting authorities to be flexible in dealing with changes in energy carriers and other materials was emphasised.
The need for vocational activation of refugees and refugee women and the role of local governments in these activities was also raised.

In these difficult times, cities are faced with the dilemma of whether they should continue to follow an ecological approach in their day-to-day operations or whether they will be forced to bet on the economy.

They are waiting for decisions by those in power.
