Opening of the Branch Office of the Spokesperson for Small and Medium-sized Entrepreneurs in Kraków
On 6 December 2018, Ms Izabella Żyglicka, a member of the Council of Entrepreneurs, took part in the opening of the first field Branch Office of the Spokesperson for Small and Medium-sized Entrepreneurs in Kraków, which was attended by the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Science and Higher Education – Jarosław Gowin.
Entrepreneurs from Małopolskie, Podkarpackie, Śląskie and Świętokrzyskie provinces have now the opportunity to benefit from legal aid and representation of their interests in cases provided for in the Act on the SME Spokesperson.
Grzegorz Piątkowski, who also serves as the director of the Preliminary Analysis of Applications Department, became the field representative of the SME Spokesperson of the Kraków Branch.
The institution of the Spokesperson for Small and Medium-sized Entrepreneurs was established in order to protect the interests of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises as well as to improve the quality of the legal environment, in which they operate. The Spokesperson may also request interpretations of regulations and legal clarifications, request the initiation of explanatory or disciplinary proceedings against officials who violate the rules established by the Constitution for Business.
The aim of establishing a field office in Kraków, and in the future also in Białystok, Gdańsk and Poznań, is to ensure efficient and effective fulfilment of tasks entrusted to the SME Spokesperson throughout Poland.
