Day of reckoning for Swiss Franc mortgage holders
Tomorrow may bring a real revolution in Swiss Franc mortgages. CJEU will issue a long-awaited ruling on mortgages in Swiss Francs. This way, Swiss Franc mortgage holders may be encouraged to seek to effectively undermine the questionable contractual provisions concerning the rules of currency conversion for bank loans while banks, especially those for which Swiss Franc mortgages constitute a significant share in the portfolios of products sold, may consider it quite a huge problem. If CJEU gives the Swiss Franc mortgage holders the green light on Thursday, such a decision is likely to be widely commented in the banking sector.
In the interview below, attorney Mariusz Maksis analyses the impact of the CJEU ruling in the case C-260/18: https://spidersweb.pl/bizblog/tsue-frankowicze-wyrok-kredyt-sad/
Soon, we will also publish a legal analysis of the ruling.
