Legal Advisors Jarosław Rudy and Ewa Lejman, partners in the Żyglicka and Partners Law Firm, advised on the establishment of ffVC Tech & Gaming.
The fund was established at an initiative of Totalizator Sportowy and ffVC managing partners with the support of PFR Ventures and the National Centre for Research and Development and will manage PLN 100 million.
For the purpose of cooperation connected with the establishment of the fund, Totalizator Sportowy chose a Polish and American team of ff Venture Capital, with its registered office in New York.
The strategy of ffVC Tech & Gaming provides for investments mainly in start-ups and companies having an international potential and being at a fast expansion stage. Under the first investment one company can receive from PLN 1 million to 8 million. Under the follow-on investments, this may be even up to PLN 15 million. The fund will invest in companies being an early development stage mainly in Poland and Central and Eastern Europe. Portfolio companies will be incorporated into the ffVC ecosystem in the USA. They will also have an access to the network and resources of Totalizator Sportowy, including an option of testing selected solutions with a corporate partner. In turn, thanks to the network of ffVC they will be visible in the USA, for example during events held by the fund and meetings with American investors.
