Another postponement of a simple joint stock company
A simple joint stock company and electronic registration will have to wait for their premiere. In the middle of the month, a draft law on amendments to the Civil Procedure Code and certain other acts (Form No. 899), which postpones the enforcement of the amendments again, was filed with the Seym. This is another postponement because initially the regulations were to come into force on 1 March 2020. However, the enforcement was postponed by a year, i.e. till 1 March 2021.
At present, the Seym is working on a new date, which is drafted to fall on 1 July 2021, but it is not final.
As indicated in the justification to the draft act, the introduction of electronic registration procedures is postponed because of problems connected with the rate of work performed by employees of the Ministry of Justice and entities responsible for the preparation of an IT system due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Due to the lack of changes in eKRS, the regulations on a simple joint stock company cannot be enforced.
