11th National Family Business Congress “U-Rodziny 2018”

Between 11 and 14 October 2018, Katowice housed the 11th National Family Business Congress “U-Rodziny 2018”

U-RODZINY is the largest and most important event for family businesses in Poland. It is a nationwide celebration of family business that has been regularly organised since 2008.

The main theme of the 11th Congress that featured a series of debates, discussions and workshops was related to global challenges to Polish family enterprises.

At the debate held on the first day of the Congress, titled Family businesses in Poland: our dreams and directions, Izabella Żyglicka talked about small and medium-sized companies, indicating that as an Entrepreneur Advocate of the Regional Chamber of Commerce, she is part of the Entrepreneurs Support Team appointed by the Minister of Finance and member of Entrepreneurs’ Board, she always encourages entrepreneurs to contact her and report any problems in everyday operation, that every issue reported by an entrepreneur is important and that the Board sees potential for undertaking actions to improve the situation of entrepreneurs.

Żyglicka also talked about the draft bill on the liability of collective entities and pointed that during the meeting of the Entrepreneurs’ Board on 10 October, the Board appointed a Team for the draft bill on the liability of collective entities for prohibited acts to hold discussions with the Ministry of Justice, encouraging business people to report their comments and proposals regarding the bill.
