Our Law Firm has advised Kvarko sp. z o.o. on its investment in QNA Technology sp. z o.o., which carries out the project entitled “Ground-breaking technology of production of semiconductor nanocrystalline structures”. Total funds acquired by QNA Technology sp. z o.o. amounted to PLN 1 million.
The fund was represented by Jarosław Rudy, Partner and Advisor at our Law Firm.
The purpose of the “Ground-breaking technology of production of semiconductor nanocrystalline structures” project was to develop a new technology of production of so called quantum dots. Contrary to the nanostructures existing in the market, QNA sp. z o.o. wants to reduce the use of compounds of cadmium (Cd), lead (Pb) and arsenic (As) in the synthesis and focus on nanoparticles based on non-toxic chemical elements, including, without limitation, a cation of zinc and sulphur. This approach allows for wider use of semiconductor nanocrystals and omits a number of legislation complications which are typical for compounds containing toxic elements. The modern technology may be used anywhere where light emitters of specific properties are necessary, including, without limitation, the production of TV, computer, tablet or smartphone screens of new generation with QLED displays.
